Sims1 Livin' It Up

I only started playing The Sims relatively late on, at the end of 2003, with Double Deluxe. The base game and Livin' It Up are installed simultaneously, so I can't really differentiate between what came with the Base Game & EP1. However, I'm pretty sure the genie was introduced with Livin' It Up. It was a great idea, but his repertoire was severely limited and he was so unreliable you always had to save the game before you cleaned the lamp just in case something bad happened!
