Woodcroft

Coming up next is Woodcroft, a house built for a houseplan challenge in the forums. Quite fun! I don't normally build from plans so it was something different, too. It's unfurnished - it has a very basic kitchen and bathrooms - but the grounds are landscaped and it has five bedrooms. It's on a 3x4 lot too, so there's plenty of room for all (including pets). The part I'm most proud of, however, is the roof. Just look at it, lol!

Hi SimMom79! Oh, I'm glad you like this one. I will submit it early next week, so it should be on the site on Wednesday / Thursday - something like that. Roofs are hard! (That's why I'm blowing my own trumpet about this one, lol). I honestly think they're the most difficult part of building in The Sims 2. So yes, keep on practising, you'll get there. There's also a really good roofing tutorial on the site which you could check out. It's in the downloadable PDF section and it's by fw190a8. It's really worth a look.

I am so excited for it to come out..The roof is absolutely amazing, I'm so jealous. I can never get my roofs to come out right. I just have to keep on practicing. It looks gorgeous and I can't wait to add it to my neighborhood. Thanks for the peek!

Thanks Jazvyene, I'm pleased you like it- especially that you like the roof, lol. In fact, this lot came together surprisingly quickly, it almost seemed too build itself one rainy Saturday afternoon! I think it was because I was working from plans and it had to be quite accurate for the competition.
