Tip for screenshots for your submissions
I like to leave helpful information here for anyone else who is just starting out.
The in game screenshot(s) that are needed for a submission are referenced here:
https://www.thesimsresource.com/content/view-post/post/22938/Screenshot%20Requirements%20%284%3A3%29
The real requirements are a little more complicated than that, and could probably almost be case by case depending on the item type being submitted. To put it as easily as possible, the screenshot needs to obviously reflect which subject in the screenshot is the item being submitted. For example, I made a wall art portrait of a sim, and put the sim in the screenshot with the item. It seems like a good way to put a personal item like that on display, but this is too confusing at first glance and could be misread as having uploaded a sim instead of what it was for, the wall art.
I hope this might help somebody else :)
General update

Note About Pride Month Shirts
TSR is publishing the shirts one per day, if you click on one and there is no file to download, it just means that it hasn't been published yet and what you are looking at is a preview. TSR only posts previews of the next 2-3 items from what I have seen, so if you would like to see a full preview you can view all of them here: https://simdertalia.tumblr.com/
:)
Happy Pride Month! And Shirts!
Happy Pride Month, everybody! I've been spending my free time working on some shirts for the occasion. I've submitted a few so far and those are just pending for approval, but am working on more so check back if you are interested! Previews here: https://simdertalia.tumblr.com/
I hope you're all having a great week! ๐
More items on the way!

Working hard :)
I had a free day yesterday and I spent the better part of it preparing a new set and carefully testing each item one by one. First by opening the package in TSRW to make sure all textures are showing up as they should. Second, placing it in the Mods folder of a vanilla game (no other cc running), placing the item on a lot and running the game for a few minutes. The creation software allows you to select if the object, for instance, is one of the things that a sim with the "insane" trait will talk to when having one of their special moments. This is a good time to make sure that's working as it should as well.
I've also been reading and trying to learn about other things I want to try. I started another project with some framed prints, but I realized that I want to be able to remove the shine from the "glass" in the framed wall decor, because it totally takes away from whatever you've put inside the frame, depending on what it is. I made 5 swatches last night, but when I saw how it looked in game I knew I had to find a tutorial tonight on how to remove that shine. I'm looking forward to it :)
Thank you all for your nice comments on my recolors. It makes me so happy to be able to share with you, and over the moon that you're enjoying them! I will keep trying to improve and learn. Have a wonderful day, everyone! And happy Simming!

Approved :)
Today I logged in to see that the mod I redid and resubmitted has been approved. This hopefully means that I can catch any errors with my current testing setup.
If you are new to this, a helpful pointer I got from the TSR team is to open every package in TSRW once it is done, because sometimes there can be an error with the textures not cloning properly (especially with extra stuff pack items) and opening it in this program will ensure that you see the error before submitting it.
I hope that I encounter the error myself so that I can see what it looks like and feel a better understanding for that whole thing.
I will keep updating with things that I've learned that I think are important or helpful for anybody who wants to make their own mods.
Hope you all had a great weekend!
Just waiting for now :)
Since I have submitted the mod that I remade for my intended 3-item set, I am currently waiting on the TSR team to read my messages in reply to their last question, and my mod is in "pending." I was asked if I resubmitted the bad mod or if I recloned it. I remade it starting over at step 1 in S4S. Then I opened the package in TSRW to make sure the textures weren't missing, the TSR team said it can happen sometimes, especially with items from extra stuff packs. Then I started my vanilla game with that package as the only one in the Mods folder. It all looked good, so I uploaded that as "revision 2" for that item and resubmitted the set with the revision made.
That's all I can do for the moment, I've prepared lots of my ideas but not submitting anything until I know my testing process is now giving the correct results. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
*When a mod is resubmitted after being rejected, it can take awhile for it to be reviewed again because it goes to the bottom of the pile. Just helpful FYI!
