Swimmable Seas
In case you're wondering what a swimmable sea looks like from Sims' point of view, here are a couple of pics from my forthcoming Paradise Islands homes - hope you like them:

Island Paradise
Having spent so much time in the snow (!!!), my toes wanted to go to the warmer Pacific! I've made a series of residential homes, all variations on the same basic design, called Island Paradise. The main feature is that the island is built in the middle of a huge swimming pool, so Sims can swim all round! ----- In the first version, a small second island houses a summerhouse, so your Sims can swim over and invite their friends to join them in a game of cards or ..... ! It gives swimming a whole new purpose in the game!!! To follow is a set of 3 variations, with specially designed roofs. Here's a preview pic:
Mid-Winter Shopping
To round off my mid-winter series, I'm publishing a small set of 3 community lots. They're variations on the Chinese river village of Xitang, which you can see Tom Cruise running through in Mission Impossible 3 !!! Here's a preview pic:
Back from Holiday!
Hi everyone! :D We had a lovely holiday break in the very NON-snowy Lakes District of England!!!We were back on Monday, and I've started posting some new stuff which I've tidied up. More info to follow soon.
For family reasons I haven't had enough time to reply to comments since late November. I planned to do this next week - I'm sorry!! Please bear with me. ;)
Free items from 26 December
I'll be setting batches of homes to download for free for short periods, starting tomorrow.
3 Japanese homes will be up for a week, and 3 small but 'interesting' buildings for a month! Hope you can enjoy them. ----- Andy
Seasonal Best Wishes!
However you're spending the holiday, I send you my warmest good wishes, and hope you have a lovely few days! We're seeing most of the family here, in stages! But eldest son Ali and his wife will be in Antartica for the holiday and over New Year - wow!
MidWinter Retreat - Original Game!
I wanted to add at least one MidWinter home that would work in the original game. So here it is - just the place to go to when you've eaten too much Christmas lunch and drunk too much champagne and need a quiet place to sit!!! It's made for a small 3x2 lot, and the 'garage' is a living room in the original game, but of course is designed to be used with Nightlife etc if you have them.
Mid-Winter Chalet
And I can also add a preview of my Mid-Winter Chalet. This is based on an Alpine design, and will come both Nightlife-ready with a garage, and also for the basic game. The interiors will be unfurnished, except for a bowling lane (YES!!!) in the basement. Exteriors, including tub, bar and pool, are installed! Here's a preview:
Mid-Winter Series
Today I'm starting a sequence of homes in my MidWinter series. They're all snow-bound and cold but (I hope) lovely! ;) A genuine Starter home (< §20K) is the first one. Here's a preview pic of the Mid-Winter Castle, which is based on a Scottish tallhouse. The tallhouses were smallish fortified homes, strong enough to resist any English marauders (15th-17thC).
Homes illustrating 2-level basements
I thought it would be useful to publish a house that demonstrates the final result of my 2-level basement garage tutorial. It's called Eastham Rise, and I'm publishing it as a set of 2. One version is furnished and needs University as well as Nightlife; the other is unfurnished and needs Nightlife only. :) I had fun taking pics of the car coming down the drive, seen from underneath. If you're in the UK it's like the Astra car advert with cars doing acrobatic circus stunts!!! Here's a preview pic:
