Torre de Cristal - loosely translated as Glass Tower, but because syntax has never been my strong point, apologies if this is too 'loose' - has 2 double bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in total.

The residents of this house would be wise to reflect on the old adage that is said to originate at Geoffrey Chaucer, but which Benjamin Franklin paraphrased when he said . . . 'do not throw stones at your neighbours' houses, if your own windows are of glass' . . .

The dominating feature is, as the name suggests, the glass faced tower, which rises above the roofline and is visible for miles I should think. . . especially when lit up at night.
There is no access at this time - it is simply a decoration . . a whim.

The house comprises two living levels - but the lift terminates on the central roof - which is the floor above - and from that point a low flight of stairs on either side give onto the roof of the wings - one of which has been equipped with a large, astronomer's telescope.

On the second [mid] level are two double bedrooms with attached baths. These sleeping areas are separated by the lift well and a small vestibule which has space for an artist's easel under the front facing windows.

Downstairs and the room count is fairly predictable - a long living room down one side and an equally elongated kitchen/dining on the other, with the lift and front entrance in a central position. To the left of the lift and adjacent to the kitchen is a small recreation area with football game and a small TV. The bathroom on this level occupies a similar space, at the front of the house, next to the livingroom. This last has a TV corner as well as a seating group for conversations. A door here leads out to an outdoor chess setup and to the base of the tower.

The pool area is equipped with every convenience. Tables and chairs in the BBQ area have sun-umbrella coverage - as does the BBQ itself and the sound system. There is a full bathroom in the cabana; stairs lead to a workout station with treadmill and weight bench on the floor above. For convenience and to ensure a clean pool environment, trash collection and a dishwasher are to be found under the stairs.

The block is small - 30x20 - and most of the exterior is paved. Torre de Cristal is located at 7 Sun Song Avenue, Sunset Valley. It has no lot requirements/restrictions so would happily occupy any flat 30x20 lot [or even perhaps 20x30] provided the long side faces the street.
