Nakoma is of mixed ethnicity - Cherokee being one half of the blood running in her veins. Having lived with her single Cherokee mother on a reservation since birth, she is mostly of that culture though there is something in her that longs for more. Nakoma knows nothing of her father or what race he belongs to, only that the members of her reservation refuses to speak of him and his kind. Will she find the courage to leave the only place she's ever known to find out more about an unknown father who has never searched for her? Does he even know she lives?
