Anne Shirley (the heroine of the Anne of Green Gables books by Lucy Maud Montgomery) was born March 5, 1865 in Nova Scotia. Her parents were school teachers who died of scarlet fever when she was 3. She was sent to live with Marilla Cuthbert and her brother Matthew on their farm in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island. They had requested a boy to help with farm work, but Anne soon captured their hearts and they became a family. The book series is loved around the world and this Sim is modelled on Anne as played by Megan Follows in the long-running TV Series.
