All recolors of creators you need the original mesh of that creator to, if you don't download the mesh then the creation does not show in game. Like you said just the sim not the dress. All ea recolors you don't need a mesh to download because the mesh is already in ea.
When you scroll down on the page you will see all the information and you will see this to;
Required external mesh URL: http://beocreations.com/creations/S4_weddingdress_lily.php
That is the mesh you must download. At Beo creations you must just login first its free, if you do not login you can not download any creation of her. Her site is save I use it a lot. I hope this will help you, please tell me if you still got a problem and enjoy your simming
