Strangely things are OK now and I can see all your red retro diner pieces. Someone told me how to place couters and to be able to see the end bits etc. I feel so stupid now. Thanks for your help.

When problems like these occur, it's probably best to have a good old clean out of the mods folder! I've also had problems like this in the past whereby things went missing or did not show in my game. I have become quite ruthless in what I download these days. I keep my game as clean as I can. It could possibly be a save file that's causing your problem. You should have no problem in anything you download from TSR as everything is checked and their standards are very high. Take the save files out and place them somewhere safe and see if your game reacts differently. It's definitely a bad mod installed xx

Dear Pam McD, You are right in an indirect way, the set does need meshes for the recolours to show. However, you may have complicated it a little...I will try to explain..
Firstly, I own all the Sims 4 packs ever released; therefore, I have all the meshes from the packs installed on my computer to recolour!
If you have the Cool Kitchen Stuff pack installed on your PC, there is no reason for the 'Counters and Cabinets' not to show.
However I have also recoloured items from other packs also for this set. The following packs are needed for all the items to show in the set...
You will need the following packs for all the recolors to show in your game...
Base Game
Get Famous Expansion Pack
Island Living Expansion Pack
Jungle Adventures game Pack
Cool Kitchen Stuff Pack
Bowling Night Stuff Pack
Dine Out Game Pack
Tiny Living Stuff Pack
Fitness Stuff Pack

And that's all it is really, nothing complicated.
