Ken, Barbie's Boyfriend was first introduced in 1961, two years after Barbie. He is named after Kenneth, the son of Ruth Handler (1916-2002) who created the first Barbie doll in 1959. Barbie is named after Ruth's daughter Barbara. According to Barbie lore, and advertising, Barbie and Ken met on the set of a television commercial. Since then Ken has had 40 different careers ranging from Olympic God Medalist to Hairstylist to serving in the Armed Forces. Like Barbie, as times have changed so has Ken; keeping up with the trends. Though times have indeed changed, one thing has remained constant, Barbie and Ken's romance. As of this year, 2009, the couple has been dating for 48 years. This is my Sims 3 version of the original 1961 Ken doll. You can also download my Sims 3 50th Anniversary Barbie on my TSR page. I hope you enjoy them both.

I added the Barbie Dream House by hrekkjavaka to my game along with your Ken and Barbie sims (last name Doll...didn't know of a last name for them rofl) and soon after, I had an opportunity come up involving Ken Doll in my legacy game. Thanks so much! I love it! :D
