Hello, Carly, and sorry for the late reply. All custom content in Package files needs to be placed in the Sims 4 Mods folder. The location of this folder is usually:

Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods .

If you are downloading a set of objects, you will get a .zip/.rar file that you need to extract in order to get the Package files that are, then, placed in the mentioned folder. If you still have questions, please feel free to ask. Happy Simming!
