Thank you for the nice comment on Pechewood. I understand you are having trouble locating the house? Okay, I'll do my best to sort it out for you. First of all, you will find the download in the folder you have set aside for such things. I always download Sims3 stuff directly into the Downloads folder in the game [found under My Documents\Electronic Arts\TheSims3\Downloads] until I have installed them in the game. Then they need to be removed so a safe place for storage NOT in that Downloads folder. It causes slowdowns for the game. Once you have installed the house [to install: open the Launcher, go to the Downloads tab, select the items you wish to install, then click on the Install button. A small black screen will appear for varying periods of time, then the actual install bar, then the confirmation screen. Click okay]. When y ou have done this, contimue to open your game until the main game screen [Edit Town] is visible. In the console at the foot of the map you will see some icons and usually some people. One of the 3 icons that is visible above the people, shows a small house image . . and if you hover over it, it will flash as Unoccupied Houses [or something similar depending on your location]. Click on that icon and a new window should open with the house that you installed as the first item in the window.
Click on Pechewood, find a 30x30 VACANT lot on the map and click on Place. An interactive screen will appear to allow you to set the house down exactly where you wish it to be, then click to Accept. The game will take a moment to process what you have done. Then, from the left side console, click on the Hammer and Saw icon, then on Pechewood. This will enable you to play the house. i.e. edit/remove/replace anything in it. If you wish to place someone in the house, then go to the window with the Sims in it and choose someone with enough money to purchase the house and follow the game prompts to begin playing with a Sim in Pechewood. I have tried to be clear, but if there is any doubt, please send me a Guestbook message and I will try to assist further. Happy Simming and the best for the New Year. Marg.
