I give you credit for trying, but from an Australian viewpoint, I tend to agree with Colors11234's comment . .  again, no offense intended.
Australian colonial architecture of the older, classic  sheep station variety invariably features low [1 storey] fairly rambling structures with verandahs all around to help protect the interior from radiated heat.  sometimes these verandahs [porches?] were glassed in, but most often not as the glass  itself becamea conductor.  Rooms are large and well ventilated to allow for air movement in cooler hours. Floors of wood with scatter rugs for comfort.    Furniture large and comfortable to suit the scale of the rooms.  Roofs are gabled with a low pitch and almost always corrugated iron.  Exterior cladding bullnose weatherboard but some stone was used where it was available. 
I hope this helps, but please don't be discouraged from being creative . . . just because we've never seen something is a perfect reason to use imagination like you have done.  Keep it up.
If I can find the time, I will try to create a station homestead based on my own experience, but it won't be anytime soon.
