Valleyfield, a split level home, is a delightfully refreshing mix of old and new. It is sure to appeal to urban residents seeking to live the country life, but who still want the quality and luxury of city living. A very pleasing mix of Old Money style and opulence on the main floor, and New Money pure luxury on the top floor. Valleyfield is fully fenced and is landscaped with pretty country garden beds and cobblestone pathways around the exterior of the house. Entering the front gates, you are faced with paved pathway leading to front steps and rather imposing front door. Either side of the entry features a fountain and paved courtyard with seating and statuary. Through the front door and you are in the foyer. Here there are mirrored walls, more statuary, and a hallway to left and right. Going left takes you past a doorway to a small bathroom on your right. A bit further and a double door leads to steps downstairs to the large semi- detached Dormitory/kids bedroom. Here you will find two rooms separated by a small hallway. In these rooms there are two sets of bunk beds, Arcade game machine, boom box on one side, and, for an older child, a single bed, desk and computer on the other. There is also a bathroom. Access to the rear courtyard is available via the back door of the dormitory. From here you can access the workshop area, complete with laundry and another bathroom. Rear courtyard has more country garden beds and bamboo trees. Up circular stairs to your right and you are on the entertaining deck, complete with barbeque, comfy loungers and shade umbrellas. You also have views for miles around from here. Back down those stairs, go right, to the other circular staircase and you are back in the main house, continue to your right and you enter the original lounge room, complete with open fireplace, TV nook and a reading/chatting corner, all furnished in the rich opulence of bygone days. Head out of the lounge and go straight ahead, past the entryway and you enter a compact, but delightful, timber kitchen, complete with original leadlight cupboard doors. Even though the fixtures may be dated, the appliances, and plumbing, have been updated to more modern ones, with trash compactor, microwave, blender and coffee machine. Here you will also find a breakfast bar, with views, through the bay window, of the front fountain and courtyard. From the kitchen you go through another doorway and enter the ground floor double bedroom. With open fireplace, grandma's four-poster bed, complete with feather mattress and comfy sofas, you can choose to sleep or simply relax and enjoy the cosines of the logs crackling away in the open fireplace. Maybe relax with a good book. In keeping with bygone days, it is still furnished as opulently as originally, but, no TV or computer. This room does have its own bathroom for convenience though. Head out the bedroom door, through the kitchen and back to the entryway and you find a circular staircase going up. This takes you to the piece de resistance of this glorious house. Up the stairs, and you will find, 3 more rooms that can only be described as rich, elegant and stylish in a thoroughly modern way. Stepping off the stairs, you find yourself in a small room with writing desk, comfy sofa, bookshelf and three doorways. The one in front of you takes you to the first, very luxurious, and large double bedroom. Here you will find double wardrobes, twin dressers with mirrored walls, super comfy armchairs for relaxing, beautiful brass bed with lacy canopy, and a big wall television. Back out to the stairs, to your left is the sumptuous double bathroom. Quality fixtures and fittings make this room fit for a queen. Corner bath, 2 showers and 2 toilets. Double vanity and mirror walls. Out of the bathroom and the other door takes you into another big double bedroom, just as glamorous and stunning as the other, but furnished in a totally different manner. Again, a four poster bed, but timber this time, comfy seating, dresser, and a puzzle shelf. Out the door, back down the stairs and out to the back courtyard. Across the courtyard and up some steps and you have the pool and spa area. Here there is plenty of seating, and umbrellas to relax under, a lovely huge swimming pool with a spa incorporated into one end. There is also another bathroom/toilet here, no need to run upstairs if the urge hits. Very convenient. Although maybe a bit expensive, this house is the total package and will delight whoever buys it. It really is a perfect mix of old and new and is warm and welcoming. Plenty of land is available around the area too, if you wish to have horses, or maybe raise some cattle or something similar.
